The brief
Dorian, CEO of Donald Insall Associates, had a clear ambition: professionalise the work winning function to match the pace of the firm's growth. They'd recently hired a Senior Business Development Manager - the next step was bringing in a standout Bid Manager to sit alongside them.
The challenge? They'd never recruited for this type of role before. They knew exactly what they wanted. Attracting it was a different matter. After a difficult attempt going to market alone, they came to Candr.
The process
We started with a detailed kick off call - not just covering the role spec, but understanding how the business is structured, where it's heading over the next five years, and what would make it compelling to the right person.
That groundwork paid off. We built a shortlist of five strong candidates, ran first stage interviews, and one candidate stood out clearly. Second stage interviews followed the week after. An offer was made and accepted.

The outcome
Bridget joins the team in March. With both a BD Manager and Bid Manager now in place, Donald Insall Associates has the work-winning function it needs to scale.
